About

An informal, welcoming racing team for people who love racing but have a life to fit it around.

What is NGR?

No Good Racing is an informal, welcoming, positive, cycle racing ‘team’ for those who enjoy racing, but have to manage their training around other commitments.

Serious, but fun

We believe that racing bikes isn’t about results, but the amount of fun you have getting to the finish line.

Don’t get us wrong, we take racing seriously. We just put enjoyment first, and we respect the stuff you’ve got going on outside cycling. Because life happens off the bike too.

We never ask why you haven’t been training, what your FTP is, or how much timber you put on over the holidays. We celebrate each other’s wins and losses, and we poke fun at the results-obsessed teams of yesteryear.

Why we’re doing this

We hope to encourage others to give racing a go, and to be a positive force in an otherwise bleak environment for cycle racing in the UK right now.

Race whatever you like

We don’t care what you’re racing, it’s all the same to us…

What’s with the name?

NGR is an homage to the infamous, informal street motor racing team founded in 1985 in Osaka, Japan. Our logo and name are that alone. We are in no way associated with nor condone the actions of No Good Racing on the streets of Kanjo, we just think their livery and name are cool AF.
